The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
78% of registered enterprises are in services while 22% are in manufacturing. Only 2% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 54% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). 50% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Eluru, which ranks 21 of 27 in Andhra Pradesh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 45.3 out of 100. On skilling trainees who get certified at 98.7% and women in the labour force at 45.4%, it sits close to the national mark.
