The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
78% of registered enterprises are in services while 22% are in manufacturing. Only 2% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 73% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). 58% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Ntr, which ranks 8 of 27 in Andhra Pradesh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 48.7 out of 100. It trails the national picture on women in the labour force at 39.7%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 97%, it sits close to the national mark.
