Palnadu has 781.7 ITI seats per lakh youth, better than the typical district. The district supports 29.7 apprenticeships per lakh youth, behind the typical district. The Government ITI is the main public channel from classroom to trade.
80% of registered enterprises are in services while 20% are in manufacturing. Only 2% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 54% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 40% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Palnadu, which ranks 24 of 27 in Andhra Pradesh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 44.5 out of 100. It trails the national picture on ITI seats in government institutes at 5.5%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 94%, it sits close to the national mark.
