Palnadu has 781.7 ITI seats per lakh youth, better than the typical district. Of these, 5.5% sit in government institutes, behind the typical district. The Private ITI fills the remaining share of trade training capacity in the district.
80% of registered enterprises are in services while 20% are in manufacturing. Only 2% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 54% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 40% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Palnadu, which ranks 24 of 27 in Andhra Pradesh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 44.5 out of 100. It trails the national picture on skilling enrolment per lakh youth at 68.6 and apprentices per lakh youth at 29.7.
