The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
62% of registered enterprises are in services while 38% are in manufacturing. Only 1% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 49% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 25% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Sri Sathya Sai, which ranks 26 of 27 in Andhra Pradesh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 43.6 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on women in the labour force at 67.2%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 96.9%, it sits close to the national mark.
