30.5% of young women aged 15 to 21 are out of education, close to the typical district. The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
67% of registered enterprises are in services while 33% are in manufacturing. Only 3% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 13% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12).
