The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
69% of registered enterprises are in services while 31% are in manufacturing. Only 2% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 53% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12).
