A private Industrial Training Institute (ITI) is a privately-owned training centre that teaches the same trades as a government ITI -- electrician, fitter, welder, computer operator, mechanic, and similar occupations -- but charges fees. All 169 CTS trades are NSQF-compliant (Levels 3 to 5; most new-age / Industry 4.0 trades sit at Levels 3 to 4.5). If there is no government ITI seat available in your district or your preferred trade, a private ITI is an alternative. Verify the institute's DGT/NCVET affiliation on ncvtmis.gov.in before enrolling -- if a private ITI is not listed there, its affiliation claim is false.
