Korea has 10,055 registered MSMEs. 2.8% of the workforce is employed in small and medium enterprises, behind the typical district. The District Industries Centre registers, licenses, and supports this enterprise base.
80% of registered enterprises are in services while 20% are in manufacturing. Only 3% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 42% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 12% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Korea, which ranks 23 of 33 in Chhattisgarh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 42.5 out of 100. On jobs created through enterprise-credit schemes at 538, it sits close to the national mark. The district has 1,964 registered manufacturing enterprises.
