2.8% of Korea's workforce works in small and medium enterprises, behind the typical district. The district has 1,964 manufacturing MSMEs. The Industrial Estate provides the plotted land and shared infrastructure this manufacturing base runs on.
80% of registered enterprises are in services while 20% are in manufacturing. Only 3% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 42% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 12% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Korea, which ranks 23 of 33 in Chhattisgarh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 42.5 out of 100. It trails the national picture on value added per enterprise worker at ₹1,02,246 and formal-sector jobs at 4.1%.
