67.8% of workers in Korea are employed in agriculture, behind the typical district. The Krishi Vigyan Kendra provides the extension services and training this agriculture-dependent workforce relies on.
80% of registered enterprises are in services while 20% are in manufacturing. Only 3% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 42% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 12% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Korea, which ranks 23 of 33 in Chhattisgarh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 42.5 out of 100. It trails the national picture on self-employed workers at 73.5%, value added per enterprise worker at ₹1,02,246 and households in the poorest wealth group at 53.9%.
