Korea has 233.5 ITI seats per lakh youth, behind the typical district. Of these, 100% sit in government institutes, better than the typical district. The Private ITI fills the remaining share of trade training capacity in the district.
80% of registered enterprises are in services while 20% are in manufacturing. Only 3% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 42% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 12% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Korea, which ranks 23 of 33 in Chhattisgarh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 42.5 out of 100. The district runs ahead of the national picture on skilling enrolment per lakh youth at 445.2, while it lags on apprentices per lakh youth at 62.7.
