Sakti trains 167.1 youth per lakh under short-term skilling programmes, behind the typical district. 39.1% of young women aged 15 to 21 are out of education, behind the typical district. The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
77% of registered enterprises are in services while 23% are in manufacturing. Only 1% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 58% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12).
In Sakti, which ranks 24 of 33 in Chhattisgarh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 42.4 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on women in the labour force at 61.5%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 90.3%, it sits close to the national mark.
