69% of registered enterprises are in services while 31% are in manufacturing. Only 26% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 85% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 14% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Central Delhi, which ranks 8 of 11 in Delhi for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 60.5 out of 100. On women-owned enterprises at 4.9%, it sits close to the national mark. The district has 52,594 registered service enterprises.
