Central Delhi has 361.3 ITI seats per lakh youth, behind the typical district. The district supports 6,092.2 apprenticeships per lakh youth, better than the typical district. The Government ITI is the main public channel from classroom to trade.
69% of registered enterprises are in services while 31% are in manufacturing. Only 26% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 85% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 14% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Central Delhi, which ranks 8 of 11 in Delhi for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 60.5 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on ITI seats in government institutes at 100%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 98.5%, it sits close to the national mark.
