67% of registered enterprises are in services while 33% are in manufacturing. Only 21% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 85% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12).
In North Delhi, which ranks 11 of 11 in Delhi for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 58.7 out of 100. The district runs ahead of the national picture on young men using the internet at 79.1%, while it lags on women with a bank account at 61.8%.
