71% of registered enterprises are in services while 29% are in manufacturing. Only 16% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 85% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 7% of ITI trainers are certified.
In North West Delhi, which ranks 6 of 11 in Delhi for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 62.1 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on ITI seats in government institutes at 78.9%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 96.3%, it sits close to the national mark.
