North West Delhi trains 193.9 youth per lakh under short-term skilling programmes, behind the typical district. 19.1% of young women aged 15 to 21 are out of education, better than the typical district. The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
71% of registered enterprises are in services while 29% are in manufacturing. Only 16% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 85% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 7% of ITI trainers are certified.
In North West Delhi, which ranks 6 of 11 in Delhi for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 62.1 out of 100. It trails the national picture on women in the labour force at 12.5%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 96.3%, it sits close to the national mark.
