80% of registered enterprises are in services while 20% are in manufacturing. Only 18% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 85% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 4% of ITI trainers are certified.
In South Delhi, which ranks 3 of 11 in Delhi for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 64.4 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on young men using the internet at 93.2%. On women with a bank account at 81.5%, it sits close to the national mark.
