Gurgaon trains 1,457 youth per lakh under short-term skilling programmes, better than the typical district. 23% of young women aged 15 to 21 are out of education, better than the typical district. The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
82% of registered enterprises are in services while 18% are in manufacturing. Only 16% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 94% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 27% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Gurgaon, which ranks 1 of 22 in Haryana for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 66.3 out of 100. It trails the national picture on women in the labour force at 24.1%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 96.3%, it sits close to the national mark.
