82% of registered enterprises are in services while 18% are in manufacturing. Only 16% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 94% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 27% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Gurgaon, which ranks 1 of 22 in Haryana for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 66.3 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on skilling enrolment per lakh youth at 1,457 and apprentices per lakh youth at 6,092.2.
