The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.

In Davangere, which ranks 18 of 31 in Karnataka for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 48.1 out of 100. It trails the national picture on skilling trainees who get certified at 81.2%. On women in the labour force at 44.5%, it sits close to the national mark.
