Haveri has 1,440 ITI seats per lakh youth, better than the typical district. Of these, 35.1% sit in government institutes, behind the typical district. The Private ITI fills the remaining share of trade training capacity in the district.
80% of registered enterprises are in services while 20% are in manufacturing. Only 4% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 59% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). 50% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Haveri, which ranks 28 of 31 in Karnataka for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 44.5 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on skilling enrolment per lakh youth at 302.8 and apprentices per lakh youth at 605.7.
