Koppal has 1,569 ITI seats per lakh youth, better than the typical district. Of these, 56.4% sit in government institutes, close to the typical district. The Private ITI fills the remaining share of trade training capacity in the district.
80% of registered enterprises are in services while 20% are in manufacturing. Only 6% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 73% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12).
