The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.

In Barwani, which ranks 55 of 55 in Madhya Pradesh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 38.1 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on women in the labour force at 69.3%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 93.8%, it sits close to the national mark.
