The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
76% of registered enterprises are in services while 24% are in manufacturing. Only 10% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 67% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). 75% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Indore, which ranks 2 of 55 in Madhya Pradesh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 51.9 out of 100. It trails the national picture on women in the labour force at 38.4%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 94.2%, it sits close to the national mark.
