78% of registered enterprises are in services while 22% are in manufacturing. Only 2% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 55% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 21% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Dharashiv, which ranks 22 of 36 in Maharashtra for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 44.8 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on ITI seats in government institutes at 65%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 96.6%, it sits close to the national mark.
