Dharashiv has 972.3 ITI seats per lakh youth, better than the typical district. Of these, 65% sit in government institutes, better than the typical district. The Private ITI fills the remaining share of trade training capacity in the district.
78% of registered enterprises are in services while 22% are in manufacturing. Only 2% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 55% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 21% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Dharashiv, which ranks 22 of 36 in Maharashtra for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 44.8 out of 100. The district runs ahead of the national picture on apprentices per lakh youth at 389.5, while it lags on skilling enrolment per lakh youth at 134.7.
