78% of registered enterprises are in services while 22% are in manufacturing. Only 2% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 55% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 21% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Dharashiv, which ranks 22 of 36 in Maharashtra for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 44.8 out of 100. It trails the national picture on young people in the labour force aged 15 to 29 at 40.6%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 96.6%, self-employed workers at 54% and women-owned enterprises at 22.5%, it sits close to the national mark.
