The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
65% of registered enterprises are in services while 35% are in manufacturing. Only 2% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 61% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 25% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Boudh, which ranks 25 of 30 in Odisha for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 41.9 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on women in the labour force at 63.2%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 93.8%, it sits close to the national mark.
