The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.

In Kendrapara, which ranks 17 of 30 in Odisha for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 43.5 out of 100. It trails the national picture on women in the labour force at 37.9%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 91.4%, it sits close to the national mark.
