The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
72% of registered enterprises are in services while 28% are in manufacturing. Only 3% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 54% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). 73% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Jalore, which ranks 39 of 41 in Rajasthan for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 43.1 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on women in the labour force at 56.4%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 97.1%, it sits close to the national mark.
