The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
73% of registered enterprises are in services while 27% are in manufacturing. Only 2% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 55% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). 52% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Karauli, which ranks 28 of 41 in Rajasthan for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 45.1 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on women in the labour force at 52.9%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 92.8%, it sits close to the national mark.
