Hyderabad trains 253.2 youth per lakh under short-term skilling programmes, close to the typical district. 23.2% of young women aged 15 to 21 are out of education, better than the typical district. The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
81% of registered enterprises are in services while 19% are in manufacturing. Only 16% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 72% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 38% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Hyderabad, which ranks 2 of 33 in Telangana for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 58.1 out of 100. On skilling trainees who get certified at 98.4% and women in the labour force at 46.2%, it sits close to the national mark.
