The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
78% of registered enterprises are in services while 22% are in manufacturing. Only 2% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 45% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 16% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Mancherial, which ranks 10 of 33 in Telangana for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 48.1 out of 100. On skilling trainees who get certified at 96.7% and women in the labour force at 48.8%, it sits close to the national mark.
