Medak trains 228.4 youth per lakh under short-term skilling programmes, behind the typical district. 25.2% of young women aged 15 to 21 are out of education, better than the typical district. The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
79% of registered enterprises are in services while 21% are in manufacturing. Only 5% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 61% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 29% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Medak, which ranks 17 of 33 in Telangana for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 46.6 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on women in the labour force at 57.3%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 96.1%, it sits close to the national mark.
