Medak has 781.7 ITI seats per lakh youth, better than the typical district. Of these, 25.2% sit in government institutes, behind the typical district. The Private ITI fills the remaining share of trade training capacity in the district.
79% of registered enterprises are in services while 21% are in manufacturing. Only 5% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 61% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 29% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Medak, which ranks 17 of 33 in Telangana for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 46.6 out of 100. The district runs ahead of the national picture on apprentices per lakh youth at 1,637.2, while it lags on skilling enrolment per lakh youth at 228.4.
