Agra has 1,204 ITI seats per lakh youth, better than the typical district. Of these, 18.9% sit in government institutes, behind the typical district. The Private ITI fills the remaining share of trade training capacity in the district.
67% of registered enterprises are in services while 33% are in manufacturing. Only 6% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 50% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). 55% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Agra, which ranks 15 of 75 in Uttar Pradesh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 46.2 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on skilling enrolment per lakh youth at 796.3 and apprentices per lakh youth at 460.3.
