The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
74% of registered enterprises are in services while 26% are in manufacturing. Only 3% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 48% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). 76% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Auraiya, which ranks 23 of 75 in Uttar Pradesh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 45.1 out of 100. It trails the national picture on women in the labour force at 31.1%. On skilling trainees who get certified at 96.3%, it sits close to the national mark.
