Ayodhya trains 214.3 youth per lakh under short-term skilling programmes, behind the typical district. 34.5% of young women aged 15 to 21 are out of education, close to the typical district. The Jan Shikshan Sansthan focuses non-formal skilling on dropouts and women who need a route back into livelihoods without returning to a classroom.
79% of registered enterprises are in services while 21% are in manufacturing. Only 3% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 53% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). 51% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Ayodhya, which ranks 11 of 75 in Uttar Pradesh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 46.9 out of 100. On skilling trainees who get certified at 92.4% and women in the labour force at 44.9%, it sits close to the national mark.
