The highest MSME density per ten thousand residents is in Maharashtra (461), Goa (457), Tamil Nadu (452). The lowest is in Meghalaya (110), Bihar (119), Arunachal Pradesh (130).
Three central programmes anchor entrepreneurship financing for young Indians: Mudra (collateral-free loans up to twenty lakh rupees), Stand-Up India (loans of ten lakh to one crore for women and SC/ST first-time entrepreneurs), and PMEGP (margin-money subsidy for new enterprise creation).
