Korea has 1,964 manufacturing MSMEs. 74.1% of self-employment loans go to the district's top industry. The Common Facility Centre under SFURTI gives artisan clusters shared equipment they could not afford individually.
80% of registered enterprises are in services while 20% are in manufacturing. Only 3% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 42% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 12% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Korea, which ranks 23 of 33 in Chhattisgarh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 42.5 out of 100. It trails the national picture on employment in small and medium enterprises at 2.8% and value added per enterprise worker at ₹1,02,246.
