Korea trains 445.2 youth per lakh under short-term skilling programmes, better than the typical district. Of those trained, 98.4% go on to get certified, close to the typical district. The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra is a dedicated centre for this short-course, certification-linked training.
80% of registered enterprises are in services while 20% are in manufacturing. Only 3% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. Only 42% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 12% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Korea, which ranks 23 of 33 in Chhattisgarh for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 42.5 out of 100. It trails the national picture on apprentices per lakh youth at 62.7.
