In Central Delhi, 11.4% of working-age women are in the labour force, behind the typical district. A Working Women's Hostel helps women take up jobs away from home by giving them safe, affordable housing so distance is not a barrier.
69% of registered enterprises are in services while 31% are in manufacturing. Only 26% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 85% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 14% of ITI trainers are certified.
In Central Delhi, which ranks 8 of 11 in Delhi for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 60.5 out of 100. It trails the national picture on women with a bank account at 69.7% and women taking part in all major household decisions at 56.6%.
