67% of registered enterprises are in services while 33% are in manufacturing. Only 7% of employment is in small and medium enterprises. 85% of school-age children are enrolled in higher secondary school (classes 9–12). Only 21% of ITI trainers are certified.
In North East Delhi, which ranks 9 of 11 in Delhi for youth opportunity, the overall opportunity score is 59.5 out of 100. It runs ahead of the national picture on employment in small and medium enterprises at 6.9% and value added per enterprise worker at ₹2,16,030.
